Lafarge wins H&H Webranking France

Tuesday, March 17, 2009

The building materials giant Lafarge with a score of 64.5 takes top position in the H&H Webranking France 2008 after a 2nd place in 2007. Second place goes to France Telecom (61.75) and the leading aerospace company EADS (61) comes third. France as a country has unfortunately decreased its score this year compare to its neighbouring countries.

The average score for French companies has decreased since last year and is today ranked at number 12 out of the 20 countries in the survey. The Survey shows that some of the French companies use the online medium well for financial disclosure. However the spread of the results, within the country, range from 17.5 to 64.5 points, which shows that the level of website performance differs a lot among the companies. French companies in general receive high scores for CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) and information to jobseekers.

One reason for the low average may be the fact that a lot of French companies are B2C companies, which tend to receive lower score in the survey. More information about sector comparison click here
