H&H Webranking Awards 2008

Friday, December 12, 2008

Representatives from all over Europe gathered at the Royal Opera House in Stockholm on the 11th December for the first annual H&H Webranking Award Ceremony. The top performing corporate websites in Sweden, The Nordic Region and in Europe were awarded. The Best Climber and Best Innovator were also awarded on the event.

Besides the award ceremony interesting seminars were also held. The overall theme was “The future roll of corporate websites” and the whole event had a forward twist. Presentations from leading persons in this field and a panel discussion dealt with the future challenges and opportunities for the corporate website as the main communication channel for companies.

EPiServer and Google sponsors

The event was hosted by Hallvarsson & Halvarsson with help from our two sponsors, EPiServer and Google Enterprise.

Panel debate concluded social media as next year’s major challenge

The awards ceremony started with a lunch, followed by a presentation from Magnus Höij, Chief Editor of Internet World. A panel discussion followed with Magnus Höij, Gary Hartmann from TNT, Gustav Lagercrantz from EPiServer and Magnus Åkerblom Wikner from Google Enterprise. The Panel discussion dealt with a lot of interesting subjects such as the impact of social media, internal search engines, mobile surfing, overall new behaviour among the websites' visitors and how to measure success in a corporate website.

Additionally Marcus Eriksson, Head of H&H Webranking, presented a summary of the 2008 Webranking survey with the trends for this year and some practical ideas to the companies attending.
